The DR06 is the result of a collaboration between Esse Werks × DR Forged, created with a shared vision: to modernize and elevate the iconic BMW E53 4.8is — the original M SUV before BMW ever made one. With that mission in mind, this wheel was crafted not just to fit the legacy, but to forge a new standard for modern performance vehicles alike.
Its design takes inspiration from the aggressive silhouette of knife-edged crankshafts found in race engines — a nod to the mechanical purity that defines true performance. The spokes are sculpted to cut forward like a blade’s edge, with depth that mimics the mass of a forged steel crank, and a sweep that flows all the way to the outer lip to amplify motion, tension, and presence.
Though it was conceived for the 4.8is, the DR06 feels equally at home on today’s widebody street machines, tuned Euro builds, and purpose-driven track cars.
